 The Black & White Awards Gala is a prestigious event hosted by Angels of Love to honor individuals and organizations dedicated to combating family violence in Texas. The gala features several key awards: the Vision Award recognizes a community leader's commitment to ending domestic violence; the Starfish Award celebrates compassionate efforts in the field; the Courage Award honors a survivor's bravery in escaping abuse; the Generosity of Spirit Award highlights significant contributions from individuals or businesses; the Community Angel Award acknowledges those who have selflessly served the cause; and the Excellence in Advocacy Award recognizes exceptional service from victim advocates. This event not only celebrates achievements but also inspires continued efforts to support those affected by domestic violence. 

 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time when we honor the fallen victims of domestic violence through a sorrowful butterfly release. Butterflies symbolize metamorphosis and transition, representing the journeys of our victims and their free spirits soaring beyond the confines of this world. This ceremony pays respects to both the victims and their families, offering a moment of reflection and peace as we remember those who have been lost and strive for a future free from violence. 

A special day dedicated to recognizing and embracing the power of self-love, one of the most important forms of love. Celebrated during Valentine’s week, it offers individuals the chance to love and value themselves without the need for a romantic partner. The event is designed to empower participants by boosting their confidence and helping them develop a deeper understanding of their own worth. It's especially significant for survivors of domestic violence, providing an opportunity to rebuild self-esteem and discover the strength that comes from within. For those who have experienced abuse, Valentine’s Day can often bring negative emotions, but this event serves as a reminder that love takes many forms—and self-love is at the heart of healing and resilience.

 The Miss Angel of Love Pageant selects spokesmodels and ambassadors to help spread love and awareness for the organization’s mission. These individuals represent Angels of Love at various events and initiatives throughout the year. This pageant celebrates not only external beauty but also the empowerment of those passionate about making a difference in their communities.
