EXPECT RESPECT TEEN DATING VIOLENCE PROGRAM

The Mission of the Angels of Love Expect Respect program is to educate, empower and inspire teens by raising awareness, developing communication skills and cultivating self-respect and respect for others.

Our expect respect program empowers and encourages teen leaders to speak out about bullying, harassment and dating violence. Our Teen Leader Program is an introduction to the concepts discussed in the Expect Respect Program. The workshop model works at the forefront of prevention and early intervention to break the cycle of abuse in children's lives and prevent violence from happening in the first place. This program is built on an ecological, trauma-informed model that supports vulnerable youth who have already been exposed to violence.

Know the Stats

As of October 2024 in the United States, up to 19% of teens experience sexual or physical dating violence, about half face stalking or harassment, and as many as 65% report being psychologically abused.

The CDC reported that students who identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ) or those who were unsure of their gender identity experienced higher rates of physical and sexual dating violence compared to students who identified as heterosexual.
