About Us

Della is driven by an unwavering passion to help those who cannot speak for themselves. With over 34 years of experience as an attorney in child welfare and family law cases, Della saw firsthand the lack of crucial services for vulnerable families. This fueled her determination and passion to create Angels of Love, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting victims of domestic and dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking in the Rio Grande Valley. Her deep commitment to advocacy and fighting for the voiceless has shaped the organization into a vital community resource, empowering victims to find their voice and rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.

 Veronica is a dedicated advocate, bringing extensive experience as a domestic violence specialist and a retired probation officer. Throughout her career, she witnessed individuals grapple with the impacts of family violence from childhood into adulthood. This has fueled her mission to end family violence and empower individuals to thrive within their communities. Her commitment is evident in her work facilitating programs for both victims and perpetrators. Through her  compassion and unwavering dedication, Veronica inspires making a meaningful impact on those affected by family violence. 

  Jumairy serves as a compassionate Victim Advocate at Angels of Love, bringing her strong background in psychology to support those affected by domestic violence. Currently pursuing her M.Ed in Counseling, Jumairy is deeply committed to helping individuals rebuild their lives, believing that every person deserves to live with dignity and respect. With a heart for advocacy, she stands up for those who cannot advocate for themselves, providing a voice for the voiceless. Jumairy promotes the idea that seeking help is not a sign of weakness but a courageous step toward healing and empowerment. Her dedication and empathy fuel her mission to guide survivors toward a brighter, safer future.

Daniela Zuniga is a lifelong resident of Pharr, a devoted daughter, sister and mother of three, and a proud NANA to Matthew and Alessia. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, she has also served on various boards and nonprofit organizations, dedicating her life to helping others. Passionate about empowering women and promoting healing, Daniela finds her greatest joy in her family, friendships,

and faith. She is excited to serve as the Director of Development for Angels of Love, where she continues her mission of making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
